If I’ve gained anything from the first half of January it is PERSPECTIVE. A new year always brings on thoughts of “what can I do better!” ultimately leading to sort of feeling down on myself. I pick apart where I failed rather than pat myself on the back for the wins. It’s pretty hard to feel down on yourself when people in our country have lost so much. I can’t fathom that these fires are still not completely contained and continue to spread. Again, I just want to reiterate how sorry I am for those of you experiencing loss. I’m sending you so much love and support.

Working in social media can feel isolating. I operate as a one woman show (for the most part) and get easily caught up in the comparison game. But you know what really validated my entire business this week (like I needed another reminder - you all are the best)? The fundraiser on my Instagram page for Baby2Baby. Together we have raised almost $70,000, which is really just incredible. If I ever doubt the energy I’m putting out into the world, this response tells me I’m attracting the right people. You can head over to my Instagram stories to donate if you’re interested :)

Let’s talk about perspective….
