The Sunday Scoop - October 27, 2024
How is it almost November? I'm tired, ha. Sharing a recap of our trip to Round Hill, a fall/winter recipe you have to try, fashion finds + a reminder to show up for yourself during busy seasons!
Hi! I hope you had a great weekend!
Last week was a whirlwind! A major highlight was my day with Dana Levy of Dana Rebecca Designs. Dana flew to Charleston to celebrate the launch of our collection together. We had the most beautiful lunch at Post House followed by a private shopping event. I’m going to share a big recap on my site this week!
Our small collection includes the prettiest pieces (that I think are also really fun!) to add to your jewelry drawer. If I had to pick a favorite, I think it is our heart pendant with the blue sapphire. Just in time for holiday gifting! Speaking of holiday gifting, we are busy elves over here prepping for our gift guides and beyond. Can’t wait to share!
Anyone else feel like October has been a complete blur? We had a lot of nighttime babysitters last week and that always makes me feel a little disconnected from my motherhood/my kids. I know the rest of the year is going to be full steam ahead and I’m very aware that the older I get, the more I have to recharge my batteries.
Do you like Halloween? Not going to lie, I’m ready to put it behind us, ha. I am not a huge fan of Halloween but when you have young kids you sort of just have to commit and here we are. Charlie, Jack and George are SO excited for their week at school (which makes me excited!). Charlie is being a Detroit Lions football player, Jack is being Messi and George is being Marshall from Paw Patrol. They are so cute! Our week is busy with Halloween parties at school and I really do love it. It’s funny because I always say being an elementary school mom is a full time job with the emails, the volunteering, the snacks, the response, etc. I have best friends who are on the PTA and thrive at being an elementary school mom and I just, well, don’t. I honestly struggle trying to keep up with the parties, the playdates, the snacks, all the things. But this time of year is special and I’m so grateful for our incredible schools.
I can’t believe November 1 is on Friday! What the heck! I am fully committing to a little holiday cheer sprinkled throughout November. We don’t get our tree until after Thanksgiving but I am HERE for some cute sparkly trees, I already ordered my favorite holiday candle and I can’t wait to pull out my holiday coffee mugs! I just ordered this one (I buy a new Rifle one every year!).
In case you missed it…
I wrote a blog post all about our anniversary trip to Round Hill in Jamaica! It was seriously the most magical 4 days away. Have you been?? I can’t wait to go back!
Read the post HERE.
During a season where it can be hard to remember to take care of ourselves, I wanted to share this post from the past about showing up for yourself. Inspired by a readers comment and a reminder that we don’t always need to be performing. Something I want to remind myself when the calendar continues to fill up!
It is chicken pot pie season!!! Have you made my skinny chicken pot pie? I shared it back in 2017 and to this day, it is still one of my top posts ever. It comes together so quickly and it is SO DELICIOUS, cozy, warm, yummy. Truly a hug during the winter months! Get the recipe here.
I update my SHOPBOP HEARTS daily. With all the holiday and fun festive attire rolling in, I’m getting to excited for cooler temps. We are traveling for Thanksgiving and I can’t wait to pull out all the sweaters. Shop these here.
A few fashion favorites from around the web…
This red dress would be amazing for a winter wedding.
Very into these leopard pants.
I just got these studs and they honestly look like they cost $10k. They are SO SPARKLY.
This Madewell suede blazer is sure to sell out!
I bought this silver bag for the holidays and I have been using it nonstop!
How incredible is this sequin blazer for the holidays?
I hope you have a great week ahead! We are planning our editorial calendar for the next couple of months so if there is anything you want to see, want to chat about, etc. - please please please let me know! I love hearing from you!
xx
