A sneak peek at my collection with Dana Rebecca, a week in Jamaica, a goodbye to my childhood home and more.
This was quite the week! Dave and I left last Monday and spent the week celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary at Round Hill in Jamaica. It was a dream! Truly the best break from reality, the most peaceful escape and beautiful resort. It had been on my list of must visit for the past 10 years and it totally lived up to my expectations. We can’t wait to take our kids back! I’ll be doing a full recap on helloadamsfamily.com this week!
From Jamaica, Dave flew home to Charleston to relieve our babysitter and I flew to Chicago to celebrate my brother’s engagement! My sister and I both flew in to surprise our soon to be sister-in-law, as my brother planned a really fun celebration after he proposed. We also came back to say goodbye to/pack up my childhood home. After 30 years, my parents sold it (luckily to one of my best friends!) and it was the last weekend we would all be together. Bittersweet! But so excited to for my parent’s next adventure. I will say, it has been a very emotional weekend of goodbyes. I’m ready to get home.
I fly home tonight and I can’t wait to see my kids!!! I have been away for 7 days which is the longest I’ve been away in 5 years. I miss them so much. We have a busy week ahead (full steam until Halloween!) and I’m ready to buckle down. Something fun launching this week - my collection with Dana Rebecca! Dana is flying to Charleston and we are celebrating with a lunch and shopping event on Tuesday. If you’re in Charleston, I’d love to have you stop by and shop the collection in person before it launches on Wednesday online.
I hope to see some of you there!! Can’t wait to share this collection with you.
This week I shared 5 fun Halloween treats to make with your kids before the season is gone! I think I’m going to fully commit to decorating for the holidays afterwards. I’m ready!
I also shared a post about wearing basics and shared a link to this grey pointelle tee that I’ve been wearing nonstop. When I’m getting dressed I often think too much about my outfit and overlook the easy items in my closet. I felt so comfortable in this easy look and it reminded me not to overlook the basics in my wardrobe.
Speaking of my wardrobe, I put together a little shop of fashion finds under $200. I’m also always updating my Shopbop hearts right here. Let’s highlight a few things on my radar:
I need an evening bag/clutch style for holiday events but I never find a clutch that I love. This shiny silver bag is the cutest size and would work for years and years to come. I also LOVE this little bag (it feels like something my grandmother would give me).
I want this fun top for the holidays!
This dress would be gorgeous for a winter or NYE wedding!!
When I went to the Fifth Avenue Club last week, I learned how important a button down is in my wardrobe. This $88 stripe button down is such a classic! I also think THIS IS CHIC for the holidays.
How amazing is this under $100 cable cardigan with gold buttons?? Wow it is so good.
I shared the most delicious soup recipe for you on Instagram! It is truly the most nourishing, creamy (but without the cream!), healthy and warming fall soup. It is the perfect fall soup. Let me know if you make it!!
SEE HOW TO MAKE IT HERE!
Anyone sort of ready for holiday decor? I find myself gravitating towards small pieces that add a little whimsical touch at home.
I hope you all have a great rest of your weekend and a wonderful week ahead!
