My favorite chili recipe, a gift guide for her, November tech backgrounds, fall finds and more.
Hi! Hope you had a great weekend!
We woke up to “fall” weather here in Charleston (a brisk 64 degrees!) and I immediately planned to make my favorite chili recipe tonight. I lit all the fall candles, which by the way this one is very good, and opened the windows up all day. It’s the little things in between what feels very chaotic lately. The week of Halloween sort of chewed us up and spit us out. I swear lack of sleep throws off everything and if I’m off my game, everyone is kind of off, too.
Dave has had 3 trips since we returned from Jamaica 9 days ago (work, play and family stuff). We have been passing ships and I’ve solo been parenting most days/nights. I have a hard time getting a sitter when I’m the solo parent, why is that! I just feel like the solo parent carries emotions for both parents and are needed more? Especially at the ages my boys are at right now. I find myself needing to be more emotionally available than ever before. I’m sure that will only increase from here.
November is full steam ahead into holiday season. I already shared my first holiday gift guide here. The best gift ideas for the women in your life! If you’re looking for some more ideas, I created an entire gift guide shop right here. Hopefully it is helpful! Other than that, most of my brand partners hold their advertising budgets for Q4 which means more work for me! It also might look like there is more #ad popping up in my content and I just want to say thank you for supporting my content. I truly only work with brands that I actually use/love or am excited to introduce to you. It is still a pinch me moment when brands see my content and want me to represent them. As someone who feels like their content has shifted to very much chaotic (hi I’m a mom!), I’m so grateful for the support of my brand partners AND this incredible community.
Please do me a favor and make this chili! It is so so good. The perfect, savory recipe with the slightest spice that is better and better with each bite. It is quick, simple and so delicious!!
I’m really proud of our gift guides this year! We launched with our Holiday Gift Guide for Her that is filled with some of my personal favorites, little luxuries, personalized gifts and more. I will slow launch them throughout the month. We will be sharing them on my website with a fun feature that makes it easy to shop + why I’m recommending each product. I’m really excited about it! More to come :)
Did you know I launch tech backgrounds on the first of the month? They are so fun and I feel like they are a good way to visualize the month ahead. November is always my favorite because the anticipation of the holidays feels so special! The excitement builds, you’re savoring the shorter/cooler days, everything feels cozy! You can find 5 November tech backgrounds for your desktop and mobile device right here.
I shared a recap of the lunch we had in celebration of my collection with Dana Rebecca! It was the most beautiful day! I’m still riding high from the company and the jewels. I am so proud of the pieces we designed together. You can see our collection below…
Coffee with Liz is an ongoing series where I answer reader questions! You can check out the archive of questions here (there are a lot!). It is one of my favorite ways to see what is going on in our community minds, things we’re all looking for, interested in, shopping for, experiencing, etc. This week’s reader Q+A answered questions like creating a safe home for my kids, advice from my therapist, my guilty pleasures, dealing with conflict, 40 year old birthday attire and more.
My Shopbop Hearts have me excited for fall/winter/holiday dressing every single day. I’m constantly updating my hearts with new arrivals and here are just a few that have recently caught my eye.
Any parents out there agree that Daylight Savings Time is the longest day in the history of the world? Like my kids have been awake for days. I am crawling into bed as soon as I hit send!
xoxo
Liz
Thanks for the gift guide! I just snagged two personalized totes bags for the grandmothers in our lives!
