The Sunday Scoop - March 9, 2025
My new bag for spring/summer, new Zara finds, the recipe I make all the time and the joy of having my parents in town (plus the hardest part of moving away).
wearing my favorite Chimi sunglasses and an older linen dress, my necklace is from a local boutique on Sullivan’s Island called Goldbug.
These weekly Sunday emails are always a reminder of how quickly the weeks are passing by! How are we almost midway through March? The flowers are popping here in Charleston, we are getting some warmer days and I’m in a clean slate state of mind. I have had a running to-do list of places in our home that need to be organized - my kids dressers/closets, my closet and our playroom. I’m hoping to tackle these in the next couple of weeks. We are heading to Denver this week to see Dave’s brother, my sister-in-law and two nephews which will be a fun long weekend. I love Denver!
I know I keep saying this but it is so wonderful having my parents here. As I type this my mom is cooking a cozy soup on a rainy Sunday night in my kitchen. Moving away from your family is hard, especially as they/we get older (I get asked about this a lot and I’ve shared posts about it here and here). It is the greatest opportunity cost to creating a life that you want. We make a bigger effort to travel, we are so lucky to have jobs that allow our calendars to be flexible and we fill the void. It doesn’t make it easier living apart but I’m grateful for every moment we have together!
I have really been loving all of Zara’s new arrivals for Spring! I linked a bunch of new favorites here.
My new little Spring bag! I couldn’t help myself. She is the perfect size, I got the mini.
I update my Shopbop hearts on a daily basis. I am so excited for Spring! A few of my current favorites that I’m currently eyeing:
I love this red shift dress that is only $118!
My favorite sunglasses (pictured in the top photo!) now come in this clear which is so fresh for spring/summer.
This green dress would be perfect for a special occasion (plus it is also a great price)!
I am new to this swimwear brand, and truth be told they cost a pretty penny, but when I tell you the fit is incredible. Wow! They have underwire built in but you would never be able to tell. I wore this one over the weekend!
These are some of my favorite beach hats! I wore this one on the boat yesterday! You can shop this entire look here.
Do you set an alarm in the morning? I never do because my kids usually always wake me up (or if I naturally wake up early I take advantage). But tomorrow I signed up for a 6am cycle class (wish me luck) so I am tucking into bed and calling it a night. Thanks for being here this week (and every week!). I haven’t shared a new recipe in weeks and I’m dying to get in my kitchen before we travel. I’ve been relying on old faithfuls as I try to be a little smarter with my consumption. I am making this tried and true Halfbaked Harvest recipe tomorrow night which I love so much. I know I’ve talked about this the past couple of weeks but I wrote a blog post this week about the Constant Pursuit of Health and Wellness. Does it ever end? I hope so and I hope not because it means I care enough to persevere. It feels good to hold myself more accountable with my workout routine and meals.
I hope you all have a great week! xx
