The Sunday Scoop - March 2, 2025
Falling in love with my closet again, what I ate last week, new Zara finds and more.
Happy March! I love a new month, especially March. It feels like a big breath of fresh air as we slowly slip closer to spring. It has been warm here in Charleston and the sunshine has really helped perk up my spirits, my productivity and my general feelings towards life. January and February felt very long and I’m welcoming a “windows open” mentality. I’m not quite sure what that means but I’m leaning into fresh air, less is more, quality over quantity and fewer/better.
My style has felt in such a rut the past few weeks. I’m very much over my go-to jeans and a sweater uniform and had been craving some color and print. I took 10 minutes this week and sat in my closet, staring at the items hanging there, waiting to be worn. It reminded me to stop waiting to wear the things that make me happy. We had a busy weekend with events both Friday and Saturday night which was the perfect excuse to get a little dressed up! I wore this new Alemais skirt and this Rhode dress (on sale - is this considered vintage now? RIP Rhode ILY).

New arrivals from Zara! I’ve been so impressed with their recent collections. I have quite a few of these items in my cart. I love this chartreuse color lately, this little canvas bag is such a cutie, these crochet flats are very chic, I love the colors in this dress and I know these sandals are going to sell fast!
Speaking of new arrivals…I update my Shopbop hearts daily (it is my favorite morning activity along side my coffee). It is a fun way to see what styles I’m eyeing for the season ahead. This mini shirtdress would be such a beautiful and sophisticated option for work to play. La Ligne just launched one of my favorite sweaters in this pretty yellow stripe. I ordered this little gingham mini! My favorite sunnies were just restocked in all colors.
I have been updating my SHOPMY to house all of my Internet finds. We just created a really pretty collection of spring styles under $200 plus my most loved pieces this week. Think of SHOPMY as my little shopping destination.

My LTK page is a great way to find links for the things you see on Instagram stories. I also have a page for it on my blog right here (if you don’t have the LTK app)!! I have been trying to keep this up to date with everything as best that I can. I shared a lot of fun things this week! Clearly I’m craving color.
Ok time to completely pivot and share some truths. I’ve been feeling insecure about my body lately. I am very consistent with exercise but feeling like I can’t beat the bloat, my clothes feel tight and I need to reign in my eating habits. I started counting my macros last week (I don’t love to do this but needed a kick in the butt) which always brings to the surface the eating habits that I think are healthy but are not. It is a great way to see what you’re consuming and learn more about the foods that you eat (I just use the My Fitness Pal app). I haven’t been drinking during the week (M-Thursday) and to be honest I never really drink too much anyways (I hate feeling the slightest bit tipsy) but love a glass of wine for self care/indulgent purposes. Anywho - I gave myself a break this weekend although still very conscious of what I’m eating. I am excited to dive back into it this week! Here are some photos of what I ate last week…not necessarily pretty but packed with protein.

Ground beef with marinara sauce over steamed broccoli with goat cheese.
Salad with tuna, 2 hardboiled eggs, chopped almonds and TJ’s Vegan Caesar dressing.
Ground turkey with marinara sauce over cauliflower rice with goat cheese.
Siggi’s coconut yogurt with chia seeds, blueberries and Kroma Super Granola (my favorite).
*these are the only meals I remembered to snap but I can share more if you’re interested this week!
Oh I also started taking Sakara’s new supplements which they send me to try! I am loving this Cell Reset (I feel an almost immediate energy boost!) and these Metabolism gummies to curb my appetite between meals. I have been to known to snack with my kiddos. My code LIZADAMS20 should get you 20% off Sakara (I love their meals)!
We started a new series on Hello Adams Family called “What to Wear!” I hired a new assistant who has been so fun and helped me get more creative with sharing shopping finds with you. Fun fact, we’ve actually known each other for over 10 years, from when we lived in Chicago! We have very similar styles and she is just the most adorable (more on that soon).
We have some fun stuff up our sleeves (new branding coming soon!!) and I am excited to share this weekly series with you.
Well I’m off to swim lessons for George and then we are taking the kids to the golf simulator! My parents just got into town for 2 months (!!!!) and we are going to make some fish tonight with an olive slaw and roasted veggies. Yum. I’ll share that recipe this week. Have a great Sunday! xx

PS: Did you see my ZIIP Halo review?? Oh my gosh this device is a lifesaver. I also have a discount code for you! Read all about it here.
