Some fun sales, resort wear favorites and Christmas break bliss!
sunset on the beach last night! ^^
Hi! We have been on Christmas Break the past week, enjoying the holidays with family and friends. I was sad to see Christmas go but am excited to welcome a fresh year! I have been motivated to purge our house a little bit, declutter, organize and all the typical new year to-dos. I cleaned out our pantry which is always a daunting task and packed up Christmas sooner than I planned. I realize that I very much operate with less anxiety when my home is tidy.
2024 was a good year. Read more about that and my hopes for the new year below…
It was a year that, work wise, I sort of gave myself a break. I wasn’t striving for more, I let go of things that weren’t bringing me joy (the podcast) and sort of lowered expectations for myself. I didn’t get caught up in feeling like I was behind and let go of guilt that I was letting people down. We all need those years, you know? When you sort of sit in work or life and let it be rather than surge ahead. I spent so many years feeling like if I wasn’t constantly performing then I was failing. I constantly felt out of control and irritated. This year I’ve really leaned into accepting the balance of work and life. I think giving yourself the space to clean up the backend (whether it is strategies, work, calendars, life plans) is important.
Our kids are out of school until January 6th and we have my parents and my brother and his fiancé visiting. Lots of fun plans around Charleston with the kids between now and the end of break! I always get asked about my favorite things to do in Charleston when visiting with family and friends and wanted to share this family friendly guide with you!
I sort of love this week between Christmas and New Years when no one is expecting anything from you and you can really chill. I’m going to embrace that until the first week of January. My Substack will be quiet until then but can’t wait to catch up once I return!
A few things you don’t want to miss:
Athleta’s 30% off sale!! I shared all of my favorites right here.

Loeffler Randall is having a great sale on so many favorite styles! I specifically love this gingham dress (I have in a light blue!), these silver heels (I ordered!) and these crystal bow slingbacks (buy now for next year!).
Does anyone have a warm weather trip planned (if so, I’m jealous!)? The resort wear that is flooding my favorite shops is really having me long for a little Vitamin D. I put together a big collection of fun styles right here.
