Sunday Notes, no. 6
Recap of my week, a quote I loved, feeling so much gratitude and some fun finds!
this dress is part of my collection with Mi Golondrina, launching in October!
I’ve come to love this Sunday check in. So much happens in a week that I don’t necessarily share. So many thoughts running through my head that I say “hey, I need to tell my friends about this!”
This week was heavily focused on work. In a wonderful way! But I am so ready to lean into my family this week. I get really comfortable in making the same recipes during the week. Our week usually looks like tacos one night, grilling steaks, pasta, a rice bowl, ordering food one night and going out one night. I am ready to rotate our summer meals for fall/winter meals! I have two recipes that I’m excited to make for you! A really easy crockpot chicken and rice meal and a high protein buffalo chicken dip (a go-to for football Sundays). My soul is craving windows open with crisp air and a warm bowl of soup but Charleston is giving humidity drenched windows and popsicles. Either way, I’ll take it.
how cute is this Addison Bay gingham pullover? I’m wearing a small.
There was a little nip in the air while I was in Kansas and it made me so excited for the season ahead. I can’t believe it is almost October. I haven’t even thought about the holidays and I need to get on it! Especially for my kiddos. Having kids definitely intensifies the excitement around holidays. What excites you around the holidays? Decor? Shopping for gifts? Entertaining? Celebrating at home? I’d love to hear!
I have found myself feeling protective of my personal space lately. With so much noise and animosity circulating around everything online, I tend to retreat when things feel loud. I saved this little note I saw yesterday here on Substack and wanted to share (if you know who to give credit to please let me know!). A gentle reminder that if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. It feels simple, you know? There is so much judgement in our world. Others choices don’t need to reflect our own. We don’t need to always understand everything about everyone. I personally feel so much more at peace being happy for others. Choosing to be happy for others!
Thank you so much for all your incredible support on my knit collection with Minnow! I am just so so excited about these pieces. A stripe sweater is such a staple in my wardrobe and creating these in the happiest color combos was really important to me. Check out all of the pieces in our collection for women and kids here.
How cute is this roll neck sweater from J.Crew? Giving vintage Gucci vibes! Runs oversized, I’m wearing a small.
I have been trying to share more of my Shopbop Hearts on stories because there have been so many good new arrivals for fall! I am so excited about these earrings and I plan on living in these chic sweats every Sunday. They even have a matching pullover to make it the perfect set. Reminder that if you are a new customer on Shopbop, you can use code NEW20 for 20% off your first purchase!
It’s the time of year where we are getting a lot of requests for family photo inspiration so we put together a collection here and styled them in our latest What To Wear! You can always find this weekly series on my Shopmy and LTK pages.
Things I loved this week:
I ordered this stunning floral maxi and I just can’t wait to wear it.
How cute are these sticky notes for my kid’s lunchboxes? Really leaning into the season and writing little notes for them are my favorite!
Totally obsessed with these polka dot pants. Loving that polka dots are still having their moment.
How many Barbour jackets are too many? This plaid one is a dream!
This $106 cardigan looks so much more expensive, the color and the buttons are so good.

Thank you for the post about “if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” I was having a very strong political conversation with my husband last week and i literally said the same thing to him. And how society just has so much to say but in the bigger picture, if we went back to just seeing the nightly news or reading a newspaper or magazine life would be so much more safer and simpler. Take me back to the 90’s please! So I can actually feel safe sending my kids a mile away on their bikes! Haha
