Sunday Notes, no. 28
A life catch up, business news, things I'm doing for myself this summer, what I'm cooking, what I'm wearing, and other things you may have missed!
I haven’t written one of my Sunday emails in so long! Turns out Sunday mornings aren’t the easiest for me to find alone time and I don’t like prepping these emails ahead. We are two days into summer and I’m already exhausted, ha. I slept almost 11 hours last night. It was glorious. I crept downstairs and made myself a coffee, came right back upstairs with my computer and turned on Off Campus. Are you watching? Why are these shows so indulging to a girl. Give me a college love affair show that I can pretend I’m a part of!
The end of the school year always comes with so many emotions for me. I know I’ve said it a hundred times before but right now feels like the sweet spot. I was looking at George last night thinking that he feels like such a big boy. I find myself picturing Charlie and Jack at the same sweet age. It is a moment where it sort of feels like the entire groove of your whole family shifts. Everything feels easier! I think we are there.
We are heading to Martha’s Vineyard in a couple weeks! We’ve never been. I am so excited! We are staying at The Winnetu. After that I am heading to Harbour Island with some girlfriends for a quick trip. Then we head to Wisconsin for the rest of the summer! Why do I already feel like I’m going to blink and we will be back at school. It is crazy how fast the days go by with kids.
What I’ve been cooking lately…
I’ve been cooking up all of the fresh summer meals! Tomatoes, asparagus, all the herbs, fresh fruit, fresh sourdough. I love cooking because you don’t have to follow a recipe and just go with what feels right. We’ve been making this asparagus salad on repeat with grilled steak and/or chicken. I made a broccoli pesto (photo above) using leftover broccoli stalks in place of basil (still add some basil!) and omg it’s so good.

I have shared so many recipes over the years right here!

A big week of outfits! We tackled a lot of fun summer looks this week, new finds from Sezane (the color palette!!) and a fun partnership with J.Crew. A reminder that I post all the links to my looks right here. You can even create an account and put me in your “circles” to be the first to see what we are wearing, saving and loving.
We launched a new Monday series on Substack called The Deal Diaries! I am so happy you all are loving it. It is where we showcase deals under $200. A reminder that subscribing to my Substack is free and the more the merrier. You’ll get these posts sent straight to your inbox when they are live! Here are this week’s posts:
Speaking of substack and business and all the things, I’m working on a rebrand across all of my platforms. I just got my first preview and I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to share it with you. It won’t go live until September but it really brings everything full circle and feels the most me in a long time. All I have to say is yay for feeling like your most true self 16 years into this business. More to come this week! xx
