Sunday Notes, no. 15
Holiday fatigue, we got a puppy, favorite outfits from this week, thank you and more.
this Anthropologie dress is a closet work horse.
Good morning! This is most likely the last Sunday Notes of 2025. I usually give myself and my family the gift of deleting all forms of social media at Christmas and through the new year. It helps me be more present and appreciate what is in front of me. I often find myself feeling a little discouraged about the Christmas I’m giving my kids when I see other people celebrating on Instagram. We haven’t headed downtown to see the decorations yet, we haven’t baked cookies together (planning to today!), I didn’t plan the fancy meals or shopping days. The thing is I don’t necessarily think my kids are yearning for those moments but it often feels like the things I need to do for myself. Proof of a good mom maybe? NO not at all but I hate that social media sometimes makes you feel that way. I hate that the holiday fatigue sets in before we even get a chance to enjoy it. My kids are getting older and I know our traditions will soon change once that magic of Santa looks different. I am holding on for dear life.
In other news, we got a puppy! Are we crazy? Yes. Are we completely in love? YES. Her name is Penny and she is the sweetest thing ever. There are two sisters left in her litter (we rescued her from Souther Tails and Precious Paws if you’re interested and local). We have considered another dog for the past year. Our 3 year old lab, Bear, needed a purpose! I feel like he has kind of felt lost in his role with 3 wild human brothers completely owning our home. Bear is absolutely obsessed with her and it makes my heart so happy! The boys have also been great helpers. I am fully aware that I am a glutton for punishment and it’s safe to say that I feel most fulfilled amongst all the chaos. A follower said “we open up our hearts when we have more love to give” and that’s it, I think. I love a love fest.
Wishing you and your loved ones a magical Christmas, end of the year and start to 2026. Thank you for a truly wonderful year! xoxo
In case you missed it:
I wore this flannel skirt, cashmere sweater and these red ballet flats to lunch with my assistant on Wednesday! I plan to wear this skirt well into the winter months.
My Hart earrings and sparkly claw clips are such fun, every day accessories! You can still get in time for Christmas delivery if you’re still looking for gifts. I also love this top so much!
You can see all of my recent outfits right here!
Lots of really good Zara finds this week! Especially if you are looking ahead to the cold winter months we are left with after Christmas.
I shared this look on my website because the reality is that in-between these festive moments, my every day looks a lot like this.
By the way, here are a bunch of last minute gift ideas/stocking stuffers that will still arrive before Christmas!! I am going to shop local today and tomorrow to finalize our family gifts.
Finally, I just wanted to say another quick thank you for showing up for me this year. I know there are so many people you can follow online these days and it means a lot that you engage with my content, ask for more, are always up to chat and just continue to show up after all these years. This community means so much to me and I am forever grateful for you.
