Behind the Scenes: June
A whirlwind of a month! What we did, what we loved and what's ahead for July.
What in the heck happened in June! So much! With very little time to come up for air in-between lots of travel and fun in the sunshine. Looking back on our month We really dove head first into Summer. We took the kids to Martha’s Vineyard for a week which was honestly one of the best trips we ever took as a family. Read about it here:
After our week in Martha’s Vineyard I went to Harbour Island to celebrate my girlfriend’s new book - Pink Sand Summer. It is a must read! An addictive love triangle that is set in picturesque Harbour Island. You’ll fall in love with the characters and Chassity’s perfect description of beautiful HI! Chassity owns a house on the island, Coral House, which a few of us stayed in while we bopped around, doing all the fun things Lucy does in the book. Lunch at SipSip, beach days at the Dunmore, dinner at Coral Sands, drinks at Rock House and The Landing. A boat day to the gorgeous sand bar and hanging by the pool! It was such a treat of a girls trip before leaning into summer with my little family.

You can see what I packed for our girls trip right here.
June’s best sellers made me happy! Clearly we are all leaning in to easy pieces that still feel stylish, colorful and effortless. We wore a lot of easy dresses, let our hair air dry with the best unfrizz cream (LIZ20 for 20% off) to keep it calm, went minimal with makeup and shaved our faces!
Five favorites from the month:
Ballerina Farms Hydrate - new favorite electrolytes! The lemon lime basil flavor is so good and I love that it has minimal ingredients.
Dr. Stolberg Rest + Debloat Tea - such an interesting flavor combo of Cumin and Coriander but is genuinely helps with bloating and settling your tummy!
Brightland Lemon Olive Oil - the flavor that is adds is incredible!!! While you’re at it, get the Basil flavor, too.
My bandana bag! I have the Call It By Your Name Picnic bag in Navy that is sadly sold out in my color way. This under $100 alternative was a best seller last month!
Rhone Salt Air Shirt. A best seller for two months in a row! It is a sweat wicking material and the best for hot summer days when you want to feel pulled together. Great as a coverup, too! I have it in the citron and blue.
Working on myself…
I met with a doctor to do some extensive bloodwork to regulate some hormonal issues I’m experiencing. I’ll keep you posted on a routine that we set in place. I wrote about how I’m feeling here:
We just got to Wisconsin for the next 4 weeks! My parents have owned a home here for 25+ years and it is my favorite place to spend our summers. My kids fish, look for frogs, pick fresh berries, we cook home cooked meals, soak up the fresh air and just have the best time. My parents’ property is an old Christmas tree farm so it is just magical to be in the middle of the woods with nowhere to go. We will be here until early August! More to come! Hope you’re enjoying your summer!!!!

Your June 😍 and I wish you guys were still here on Harbour island with me!! Missing you!
We spend our whole summer at our house in Wisconsin, too. It’s our family’s favorite place! Enjoy!
