Behind the Scenes: April
April was a good (and quick) month!
I’m currently having a moment where I’m sitting at my kitchen counter, staring at my to-do list, blinking heavily and thinking where has the time gone?! I always get this sense of urgency when the end of school nears but let’s not get ahead of ourselves!! That’s what May’s recap is for. April was a month of really feeling settled, enjoying the beautiful weather here in Charleston, my parents were in town (they left last week after two months!), watching my kids play sports and just being at home. I said no to a lot of social events strictly because I wanted to be with my kids. After Italy I felt like I didn’t want to miss a night away from them! I slowed down, took care of myself, went to bed early, played in the backyard and well blinked and here we are.
I finished a 40 day strength program from Heather Robertson. I joined her website to get access to her programs which are definitely more progressive and better formulated than her YouTube videos (this is not sponsored at all). I like working out at home and find that I’m super efficient if I know exactly what to do and how to do it. I always get asked about my home weights and these are the ones I like the best (you can use code LIZ10 for 10% off). I just started her new program, STRIDE, which is a running and strength workout that I’m excited to take into summer. It never ends, does it? The endless pursuit of health, wellness, fitness, blah. If I’m being honest I weigh the most I have since becoming a mom (and not being pregnant/postpartum). I am currently 140lbs, but I also feel strong and lean, too. BTW, I know muscle weighs more than fat. Being short doesn’t help. I have months when I really care and months when I don’t. One of my biggest bothers in the whole wellness space is that it feels like all or nothing. There never seems to be a way to maintain balance between food, exercise, alcohol, sleep, water, screens. I was thinking that I really hope my accounts always inspire a balance in all of it.

My style felt really easy last month!! Honestly after Italy I feel like I’ve been leaning towards more classic silhouettes in fresh colors. 170 of you bought this mug from Target! 123 of you bought this amazing Rhone shirt (I have it in the blue and lime color) that looks and wears very tailored but the fabric is a breathable, sweat wicking material. It is incredible!! Use code LADAMS20 for 20% off your first order. 74 of you bought this amazing gingham top from Ann Taylor. 46 of you bought these fun pink drawstring pants and 27 of you bought these Donni pants!
Another huge seller last month was from Ruggable! You all have been loving our welcome mat which makes our front porch feel so happy and welcome. Wow this photo is making me realize our porch needs a good clean. LIZADAMS15 gets you 15% off Ruggable!

Jewelry was a big seller in April! I really leaned in and often repeated a few of my staples like…
My Hart enamel bezel cord necklace.
My Adina Reyter chain with my groovy diamond charm and four leaf clover charm.
My Hart turquoise tennis necklace.

I’ve also been trying to get more creative with my lunches using fresh ingredients at home! I am a hungry person and feel so much better eating all day if it is whole foods. Here are three hyper fixation lunches lately…
Rice crackers, smashed avocado, soft boiled eggs (boil for 8 minutes on a roaring boil and then put into an ice bath for 3 minutes), pickled red onion and everything but the bagel seasoning.
Rotisseries chicken, cottage cheese, hot sauce and a sprinkle of ranch seasoning mixed together and served in lettuce wraps.
Bell peppers cut into quarters with hummus, deli turkey and pickled red onions.
I have made a lot of recipes over the years that you can find right here!
My kids get out of school at the end of May which means my personal time is dwindling! I am the type of mom who gets excited for summer and also a little anxious. We travel to Wisconsin for 4 weeks and it is a lot of together time that is also core memories for our family. I can’t wait but am fully going to take advantage of these next 3 weeks of school. Let’s go May!!

I love seeing how many people bought the top sellers, love a peak behind the scenes!
Thanks for always being so transparent when it comes to your balance of health and wellness! I signed up for Heather Robertson after watching your insta stories and am currently in the middle of Lean! Great rec!
